Any climber capable of winning a GT mountain stage > Sky
Well they did actually win a mountain stage this year, but it was won by their "sprinter" so I guess that doesn't count!

What about

Jens Voigt > Retirement?

It's always "Just one more year!" with that guy

Of course the sport of cycling would definitely be a lot poorer when he stops. He'll just have to get some DS job or something! :D

He's still old though... :p

Just think of the situation the last three Tours:

2009:
"This is probably my last Tour."
*Crashes*
"I'll be back for next year!"

2010:
"Since this might be my last Tour I'll do whatever it takes to get to Paris, even riding kiddie bikes!"

2011
Look who's back! :D

And I really hope he'll take some DS job when he decides to stop his active career!

Cristiano Ronaldo to any cycling team!

The phrase "Ronaldo should try cycling!", well knowing how badly he'd fare, is a pretty often-used one in my family. Seeing as cyclists are pretty damn tough while little Ronaldo-boy acts as if he was dying every time someone just pushes him lightly. Or runs closely past him...

No... I'm not degrading Ronaldo... where'd you get that idea from?

let's get joey barton to sort him out

As it happens, I found out today (reading Cycle Sport magazine), that there is great mutual admiration between Jens and the Basque fans. So maybe they could include him as an honorary Basque.

It's because he wrote them a thank you letter (in what language I don't know), which they greatly appreciated:

Yeah he wrote that this year during or after ending of the Tour of the Basque Country, it was published on the Euskaltel website in Spanish.

He thanked them because (as opposed to his own country I suppose) they were always cheering, not booing riders because other riders were caught with doping and that kind of stuff.

But as it was not written in English, English press didn't notice it...

Johnnie Walker, Jack Bauer, Matthew Goss and Tom Scully to the same team. Who else should this team sign?

lol nice.

Anyone saw that video teleconference where Di Gregorio was crying because Vino told him to attack so much.

But Jens's thing isnt that he attacks so much.

Some like Hoogerland or maybe even Duarte now do it more.

Its more that once he does get going he goes way beyond the pain barrier , does not give up and that when he gets injured and breaks bones he jokes that it doesnt matter and continues.

So it would be Attack, get in the break, stay away and if your legs start complaining just tell them to shut up! ?
