I do both (rollers and mountain bike, not rollers and tri-bars on a mountain bike, that's insane!!
Rollers will straighten up your line and help with keeping a good position. They won't help getting you out of tricky situations though.
Mountain biking will also help with balance and picking the best line, things that are still applicable on a tri-bar.
I repeat though, don't go mountain biking on tri-bars
