Can anyone tell me more about Silin? he's caught my attention with recent results, but what's his story and what can he do in the future?

I guess we don't have live coverage for the next two races?:( Ticker will have to do. That's a great group right there.

Young kid, had a stage win in baby giro, 3rd in worlds u-23 road race. Climber-puncheur type, probably more of a puncheur now, but could still develop into a good climber.

He has been Kolobnev's roommate this year, and has been strongly linked to Astana for next year (probably partially because of the Kolobnev affair)

Ok, I haven't seen the official confirmation, but even if there hasn't been one, it's all but formality now.

It is a good move for him at this stage of his career, IMHO

Molto attivo nel gruppo di testa il numero 35 Di Luca (Katusha).

that's just plain wrong, i'm sure he's working for paolini now.paolini won't make it in the final hill.rebellin might win this too

Egor Silin FTW... yes, you've heard it here first :D
Gods, I hope not. His Tre Valli result has already made him less of a sure buy for next year's CQ ranking game.

So now only 36 riders in the race:D.

That happened in the Classica Sarda - earlier this year - when the group behind were merely blocking road and train traffic and had no chance of winning. That time the town hosting the finish was angry by the lack of spectacle.

I looked at the results from past years and didn't think this race was so tough. Now I actually look at the profile, that steep climb near the start split things up?

Clarke or Ulissi FTW.

I know, I had 3 or 4 guys in the top 10 yesterday on next year's provisional team, and none on this year's, yeesh.

Anyway, Silin does look like a solid talent, aside from his other results he showed well in his attacks at the TdF.

Edit: also, is there a place to follow this live? How much to the finish? Thanks

modolo is still there i think so he will win

Yes that is just what I was thinking too. Seems like Oss is just out solo with a hundred meters advantage under 5km to go, or at least that's my poor italian interpretation.

edit: yeah I think they just said it's 33 all together so it'll be a sprint...

It's good to see that Michel Kreder is still in the "peloton". Long time ago since I've seen his name high on a list of results. I hope he can ride himself in the picture by finishing in the top-10.

I know there's not a thread for that race, but just a friendly warning since you seem to be just starting here - oftentimes forum members who are interested in seeing highlights of other races later don't like being 'spoiled' in other threads on what's happening in those races. So generally I've noticed we keep other race news out of race threads. I don't personally care, but generally I've observed a few people get unhappy about this.

Also, how are you posting when you are also racing?
