Sounds like young Widar is channeling his inner Remco already and no smaller races for him!
https://cyclinguptodate.com/cycling...en-to-me-and-now-were-seeing-where-that-leads

"I was exhausted, you can see that in my results," Widar opened up to DirectVelo on Saturday after his collapse. "I've ridden too many races. I told the team two months ago that I'm riding too many races, but they didn't listen to me and now we're seeing where that leads. This week really showed that I should have trained more and ridden fewer races," is the harsh conclusion that the Belgian talent draws.
Widar does not want to know anything about giving up. "I will come back here next year and then I will try again," the Belgian promises combatively. Widar also already knows what the plans are for the rest of the calendar year 2024. "I will only ride the World Championship and the U23 Lombardia. So I only focus on the big goals and not on the smaller races anymore."

Antoine L'Hote wins Paris-Tours Espoirs, not letting such minor details as being a 1st-year U23 rider stop him.

So, when do we think he'll get a WT contract?
2026, or 2027?

Oh, and Danish U23 Champion, Pelle Køster, 2nd.

One thing we do know for certain is that UCI has put rules in place so public and fellow U23 riders will not know who is true World Champion because many elite U23 talents are forbidden from racing!! Travesty!!

Victor Jean, Favero, and Mainguenaud (as far as I can see) with 1:30ish to the peloton.
Less than 150 to go. (The graphic has been stuck for a while.)

FDJ rider crashed.
Only showed briefly, but he looked limp...
Suddenly, I don't love cycling all that much.

They didn't battle it out.
But I think it might have been a coincidence whose wheel happened to be first over the line.

Widar wins LBL U23. Went solo on Redoute, got caught, attacked multiple times in the final again and finally got away with Remijn who he beat in the sprint.

Not the biggest fan of Widars schedule this year. Would've liked more pro races as he's obviously ready. For example would've liked to see him in Franse this week, but these u23 races seem to matter to him a lot and at least he's winning them so nothing to complain.

A super week for Senna Remijn tho. 3rd Roubaix, now 2nd in Liège. Another potential future star for Alpecin. Once again their Cross-Road Cycling business model paying off, otherwise he would've been a Visma rider.

Finn wins Belvedere, but I think Visma got a little confused about a certain Danes name:

The Giro Next Gen presentation has been again postponed. It won't be presented tomorrow. According to italian sources the race will start in Rho with an ITT and will end in Ivrea... 29 teams will be at the start.
