In the comments on that article, the poster GreaseMonster had this to say:

That'd be interesting. Chances? Has Fat Pat considered it?

he'd have to, otherwise his credibility would be blown to bits and the guy is trying to build a UCI world series, Tour of China and Tour of other rich nations to rake it in. So if he doesn't show he will find it hard to get sponsors for his world series. But if he shows he's likely to make such a fool of himself, so he's doomed, hopefully and it is possibly the reason McQ and Hein are trying to get Landis tied up with a court case in Switzerland, to try and hinder the Feds case and that is how stupid these guys are.

And when o when are we gonna get a decent journalist to take them apart?

Don't look to the cycling media. No one is willing to 'take one for the team' as it would be professional suicide.

How about another journo? Someone non-euro who doesn't care whose toes they step on, and only wants a grand tale of corruption... (I only say non-euro because of the big toes they'd be stepping on, going beyond the UCI - an American would be good, since anything outside of the home borders doesn't really exist or matter to the home audience).

Someone must know someone who could be pointed in the right direction - the tentacles of the Clinic are interesting and veriegated...

Ok guys, it's time to get over it....

Vino served his time. 2 Year ban.
Even Taylor Phinney has gotten over it.

You guys want blood? Vino go to prison?
Do you really think any French Prison could hold Vino?
Île du Diable?

C'mon. Let it go.
Let Vino ride.
Vino4Ever.

"but just because he is Vino we should let him break the law?"
Oh puhleeze, let it go.

yeah, it seems to be the way of the world, you either embed of stay on the outside and die in no mans land.

But it leads to a dumbing down and people start to turn to new sports where there is more openness and access for journalists to write and i do mean write not regurgitate press releases.

and it leads to forums, where i bet most people glance across headlines on the home page on their way to the forum.

But i do agree that it needs outside journalists to come in to do a job and i am surprised that some major newspapers have not done it yet. But it comes down to sports editors personal favourite sports and if the editor has no interest in cycling he's not going to let a journalist spend 2 months on a cycling doping and mafia federation story even if it would be great, because it is not on his personal list.

The current state of the UCI deserves an in depth story pulling no punches ,as this refusal to provide the French Prosecutor with docs is the latest in a long line of evidence of UCI enabling doping in the sport.

Please please - leave Vino alone!!:(
Let him ride the TdF in peace.

He was given a 1 year ban by his Federation.
The UCI apealled to CAS and demanded a 2 year ban.
Vino was out of the sport for 2 years....
He has served his time.

Anyway, the French Prosecutors should target more important criminals.
Kazakh immigrant women wearing Burkas grrrr.

When the Capo of Capos Tphinney hands out the olive branch Vino must accept.
Recognize Taylor Phinneys Peloton power.
