Was a rather dour response to being beaten.Lol at Remco's face at the finish!

Hope Roglic, Dumoulin, Froome, Dennis and Thomas are all in their best shape next year.
That was just bad sportsmanship. Let Dennis finish alone and not overtake him in the last 50 meters. Big joke.Inspiring to see Roglic actually fighting to hang on to Dennis. He might not have the legs but he hasnt thrown the towel today
This is his best ever WT ITT result so how does he seem to have dropped away in the TT's? He has never been that good in long ITTs. His best ever result on a 20+ km ITT during a GT was 7th. Both Craddock and Kangert bettered that this year.8th for Kung, behind Craddock, Kangert etc. Seems to have dropped away in the TT's this year. Maybe another one who is missing the BMC bike?
Ganna and Affini are both rather big boys, around 80kg, so it was probably just the lack of experience in longer ITTs.Once I read that Dennis would ride his BMC bike and specifically prepared for this I was 90% certain he'd win.
Evenepoel in second is hardly a surprise anymore how crazy that might sound.
Didn't expect Ganna in third though, expected more from that other young dude Affini but the TT was probably too long for him or too hilly.

There's the Olympics next year, fat chance. In fact, usually in Olympic years you'll see some weird riders pop up in the worlds. Remember Phinney nearly beating out Martin for the rainbow?Hope Roglic, Dumoulin, Froome, Dennis and Thomas are all in their best shape next year.
Maybe Bahrain should pay BMC for Bikes next year.Once I read that Dennis would ride his BMC bike and specifically prepared for this I was 90% certain he'd win.
In normal circumstances, Campenaerts would have been in 3rd. Don't understand why people expected more from Affini, like i already posted in my "preview"/stars rating. Affini isn't a guy for this parcours.Once I read that Dennis would ride his BMC bike and specifically prepared for this I was 90% certain he'd win.

Dumoulin, Canc, Wiggins, yes.Hard to rank Dennis' performance. Aside from him I don't think this is a particularly good field, I mean his biggest rival won in the junior ranks last season. This would look a lot less dominant with someone like dumoulin or froome in top shape as well or Martin, wiggins and cancellara from a few years ago. Phenomenal performance nontheless of course
Dimension Data wouldn't get results even if you put them on a motor bike. Riders perform very subpar once they go there on a consistent basis. It doesn't seem like they put in a lot of effort in their TT's either.Hasnt helped Dimension Data much
Roglic didn't have it physically but he also just tuned out.Only explanation for what Roglic did is that he was so exhausted he forgot where he is and what he was supposed to do. He saw that white jersey and started sprinting against Valverde.
No one does dour like the Belgians. Was a rather dour response to being beaten.
Probably not imho.A fresh Roglic probably would be 2nd.
3rd much more likely imo.Probably not imho.
