Thanks. Very nice.

Roglic still banged up from the Vuelta (same for Tony Martin), so no surprises there really. Amazing ride by Evenepoel, and a great return to the top for Dennis. I was also pleasantly surprised to see Lawson Craddock continue building on a good year with EF1, a very strong finish for him.

8th for Kung, behind Craddock, Kangert etc. Seems to have dropped away in the TT's this year. Maybe another one who is missing the BMC bike?
This is his best ever WT ITT result so how does he seem to have dropped away in the TT's? He has never been that good in long ITTs. His best ever result on a 20+ km ITT during a GT was 7th. Both Craddock and Kangert bettered that this year.

Once I read that Dennis would ride his BMC bike and specifically prepared for this I was 90% certain he'd win.
Evenepoel in second is hardly a surprise anymore how crazy that might sound.

Didn't expect Ganna in third though, expected more from that other young dude Affini but the TT was probably too long for him or too hilly.

Ganna and Affini are both rather big boys, around 80kg, so it was probably just the lack of experience in longer ITTs.

In normal circumstances, Campenaerts would have been in 3rd. Don't understand why people expected more from Affini, like i already posted in my "preview"/stars rating. Affini isn't a guy for this parcours.

Hard to rank Dennis' performance. Aside from him I don't think this is a particularly good field, I mean his biggest rival won in the junior ranks last season. This would look a lot less dominant with someone like dumoulin or froome in top shape as well or Martin, wiggins and cancellara from a few years ago. Phenomenal performance nontheless of course
Dumoulin, Canc, Wiggins, yes.

Froome wouldn't beat this.

Only explanation for what Roglic did is that he was so exhausted he forgot where he is and what he was supposed to do. He saw that white jersey and started sprinting against Valverde.
Roglic didn't have it physically but he also just tuned out.

To be real I don't think he could beat Dennis if he's 100% either. Maybe on a route like Bergen but not on this sort of route.
