At this point, they just need to put Pogacar in a good position and let him do his thing.UAE as a team was pretty mediocre. Bjerg did his part and controlled the breakaway. Politt's leadout was great. Veermersch did his part afterwards and worked prior to the 2nd Kwaremont.
Not sure what the rest of the team was doing. Oliveira crashed early. Never to be seen again. Cosnefroy crashed as well. No clue where Morgado was all race long.
But it doesn't really matter because in the end all they need is one leadout and it's game over as long as Pog is in the race.
It's not a given in Roubaix. I don't believe he can just ride away from Mathiew, like on the Kwaremont, in the flat terrain of Roubaix. It's more complicted for Pog to arrive solo in the velodrome, which is his only secure path to victory. At this point, they just need to put Pogacar in a good position and let him do his thing.
The same will happen in PR.
I also think MVP is the favorite. It's not a given in Roubaix. I don't believe he can just ride away from Mathiew, like on the Kwaremont, in the flat terrain of Roubaix. It's more complicted for Pog to arrive solo in the velodrome, which is his only secure path to victory.

Tadej just like on TDF hit his knee when he fell durring MSR and is now dealing with fluid in the knee. He will still start both RVV and PR but could take RVV more like a training ride. I hope his knee holds up cuz we were on the verge of witnessing the perfect season TDF+5monuments+WC.
Pogacar was doing 80% of the work and the gap was more like 45" than 34".View: https://x.com/sean24252/status/2040906794881384749?s=46
@zekance you deserve a special mention for breaking the news 👏
Narrative changed: A handicapped pogacar rode away from everybody in flanders😬 we will never know how he is feeling atm but pog is hiding something with his knee like he did on last years tdf.
After witnessing what he did at this years milan sanremo i thought pog has made another leap this year but todays performance brought me back to the square board when I saw only a 34 sec gap to vdp at the finish. I expected more than a minute of a gap today with Rvv having so many altitude meters compared to roubaix & was down in moral for roubaix when I saw just 34 secs of a gap in the finish But this picture tells rather the full story behind.
Mmm.. a battered & bruised pogacar won by 2 minutes on hautacam & by 36 seconds on peyragudes until he could no longer sustain the streak with the adversities he had to faceIf he was injured, he wouldn't win RVV.
He just dominated RVV. Hard to see him winning this race like he did with a knee injury. He is good, relax.Mmm.. a battered & bruised pogacar won by 2 minutes on hautacam & by 36 seconds on peyragudes until he could no longer sustain the streak with the adversities he had to face
The gap was more like closer to 50 seconds before Pogi decided to celebrate in the final kilometer. MVDP wasn't coming off a sickness before RVV this year.View: https://x.com/sean24252/status/2040906794881384749?s=46
