As the Lance Armstrong saga has unfolded and taken many former top riders with it, along with the sports credibility, it is not over by a long shot.

Corruption in nearly all cases starts at the top and until the house is swept clean at the UCI the sport will never have that credibility. McQuaid, Verbruggen and the whole lot of them need to be sanctioned, fired and new leadership is sorely needed.

Guys like Jim Ochowicz at BMC or Jonathon Vaughters would be far better suited at leading this sport forward and not further to the "Dark Ages" as the present leadership has.

Until the UCI broken bureaucracy is fixed then the sport will remain broken.

Pat is Verbruggens lapdog and Verbruggen is together with Lance the biggest poison in cycling.

Nothing will chance. UCI leadership is *** and they showed that again last monday.

let's give them another chance. maybe the dark era of 2007-2009 is behind us.

but nothing will stop until we all realize that it was always in our hands. it's time to stop hypocrisy and legalize it under medical supervisors and only in the professional world.

but if you want them to lie to you every day, well be my guests.

MLB, NBA, PRO CYCLING!!!

verbruggen I can't say how horrible he is. he started in 1991 and from that year on cycling went into full destruction

Head over to the clinic, you'll find plenty of threads about the issues your talking about. And this this thread really should be in the clinic.

aspen art museum stands by lance armstrong

the aspen art museum said monday it will keep the part-time resident on it's board of directors. lance armstrong is an active member of the aspen art museum board of trustees since 2011. he is an excellent board member and a good citizen in our community. the aspen community embraces crooks, criminals and fraudsters. the new aspen community, such as heidi zuckerman jacobson, who is paid $550,000 for running the museum as a non profit, doesn't really understand the working class aspen community. she only understands the corrupt individuals that can come to aspen to hide and be praised for their criminal activities. remember another TEXAN, Key Lay. he owned 5 houses in aspen. all the crooks and criminals that have any bucks left, come to aspen for protection and praise. the aspen institute will celebrate any glorified crook or criminal that has made money off the system one way or another, illegally. the livestrong foundation only uses 20% of it's raised funds for research. these jokester don't want to cure cancer, cancer is too lucrative.

The policing function needs to be split out to be an organization independent of the UCI which needs to remain as promoter of the sport.

But promoting and policing within the same organization is insane and doomed to fail.
