UCI WC men's RR Riding to Geelong from Melb

Is anybody riding from Melb to Geelong for the Mens Road Race (or any of the other events for that matter)?

If so, are you travelling by train part way? I note that Geelong trains are out of bounds (lack of room and specious other reasons). However it occurred that maybe a Werribee/suburban train would be okay to Laverton/Werribee.

If cycling the whole way what route are you taking (freeway OOB until Werribee).

If you are thinking of riding from Werribee you will have to ride down the freeway on Sunday because the back roads are closed from 8.30 am all day.

either take the sceanic rout via the oil refinerys or go out west side and head to Queens park hill.

You can ride down the Geelong by pass .

If you're think of riding down I would do it on a day other than Sunday, every man and his dog will be there Sunday and bikes will just be a hinderance.

We are riding down tomorrow. And car pooling Sunday.
