UCI's ADRV Sanctions list updated

The sanctions list was updated today, 19.09.2014

Addition: Estonian rider Peeter Pruus (born 1989, riding for continental team Rietumu - Delfin) is banned for ten months after a positive for the stimulant/angina pectoris drug Trimetazidine.

He tested positive 5 June, at the Tour de Slovaquie.

There are no cases involving Trimetazidine listed at dopeology.org
Trimetazidine was added to the WADA Prohibited list this year and is only illegal in competition. According to USADA it was added to the list "as examples to reflect emerging patterns of drug use."
Ukranian cross country skier Maryna Lisogor tested positive for the substance at the Sochi games in February.

Is methylhexamine (sp) really all that useful? He's doing well to do the 1km TT and 3000m pursuit - that's impressive.

My problem would be I'd remember his face (and I do from comp) and ask him how stimulating he's finding the racing or something similar if we ended up on the same track again.

Is methylhexamine (sp) really all that useful? He's doing well to do the 1km TT and 3000m pursuit - that's impressive.

It's a stimulant used in some weight loss supplements like Jack3d and Hydroxycut. He's also coached by an ex pro who spent a year or two with Fly V.

GW501516 is real dangerous stuff, apparently very carcinogenic. Other PPAR peptides are going to be developed that work much better than this. Peptides is the future.

Hydrochlorothiazide lowers BP by increasing the elimination of fluids. Maybe some kind of masking agent?

And one day later she was removed from the list again, as UCI had lifted the provisional suspension while the case was under investigation.

The list now says it was last updated 27 February, and Adriana Rojas is no longer on it.

Parastoo Bastidehkharghani (who was only 16 when he tested positive for Methylhexaneamine) got his ban reduced by 9 months for "Substantial assistance in Discovering or Establishing Anti-Doping Rule Violations", art. 10.6.1 of the world anti doping CODE. This is a new rule in the 2015 CODE.

There seems to be an error in the date of "Ineligibility until" of Luis Largo. The ban is listed as 2 years, but only runs from 22.01.2014 to 18.02.2015.

Marlon Alirio Perez were among several GW501516 positives from the Vuelta a Costa Rica 2012. The others were handed sanctions a long time ago, but for some other reason his case has been pending. The ban is backdated and he is free to race again next month.

Adriana Rojas' case was closed very quickly. She was provisionally suspended for ca. one day a few weeks back and she's now been disqualified from one race for the clostebol positive. No other sanction for her.

The provisional suspension list was also updated, but only to remove five of the six riders listed above. Mahmoud Parash hadn't been listed on the provisional list prior to turning up on the sanction list.
