Forgive if this has been discussed before, it's my first thread.

I just finished a recent Cycle Sport. Is it me or is Graham Watson the ultimate LA fanboy? He must have received huge access to be so smitten.

He is the official team photographer, ie paid to be a fan boy. And then there are all the photos, calendars that he sells to the fanboys all over the world. He knows where his bread is buttered.

He's probably made a lot of money off Armstrong, so it's hardly surprising that he'd be a fan.

Graham Watson is just better informed on who are the better riders. When Max Armstrong wins the tour in 2030 it will give you haters some more material. Are you not tired yet? Rest up for 20-30 haters!

Real Ultimate Fanboy

I think this Watson question has indeed been covered in the past, as have most things, they just go round and round.
I do believe however that we forumites do our own a great injustice when we consider anyone other than Flicker as the Ultimate Fanboy. He is tireless, relentless and willing to make a complete fool of himself in his mindless defense of all things Armstrong. But perhaps his strongest attribute is his ability to state wild unsubstantiated nonsense as if it were universally accepted truth. He truly is a force to be reckoned with, and if Lance gets off without spending any prison time or losing any of his tour victories Flicker will be just as important as any of the high priced lawyers that Lance has hired.

Flicky is that annoying bussing your hear when a fly passes close by as it has just left a pile of brown stuff and is looking for the next pile, nothing more. He has about as much influence on the outcome of anything as the UniballPolisher bug.

Truly spoken Sir Janus. We welcome the inquisition and afterwords cycling and the true miracle of Lances' victories shall be vindicated.

Your sig presents the idea of Lance "letting" his samples be retested.
If the feds develop probable cause, why wouldn't they get a warrant, and why wouldn't the French Gov't honor it? Would the old samples be "lost?" There is a world of interesting possibility here.

He'll confess before that happens.

The samples from 1999 will never be admitted into a court here in the US, way too much error handling them. Its an interesting thought tho, would they have to pass what was against the rules then or would you be able to test then for anything ?

What is amazing to me is that Luke is already 11 years old and a lot closer to riding a bike than his half-brother, yet you guys complete ignore both him and his twin sisters as if they don't exist in your universe. Apparently, @lukearmstrong isn't twittered enough for you guys to give a hoot.

Personally, I'm glad the three older kids aren't subjected to having their names bandied about by either camp (and I'm obviously guilty of it here now, but only to make a point) like their younger brother, but it sure does amaze me that Kik and the older kids seem to be reduced to a footnote in the fanboys Armstrong Canon.

I don't why anyone would be a "hater" of this person. Look at what comes out of his mouth:

“Here is the simple truth – while others may have cheated to try to beat me, I didn’t cheat to win. Beating a cheater doesn’t make you a cheater. I won using hard work, single minded devotion to a goal, dedication, exhaustive preparation and training, physiological and mental advantages, pain and suffering, innovative technology, teamwork and sacrifices that came with a price in my professional and personal life. None of that came in a pill or a bottle. All of that is why I could beat others, even when they weren’t racing clean. If I beat people that were cheating, it was because I worked harder and got more from my abilities, not because I cheated. “

-- Lance Armstrong, June 29, 2007
