My vote is the same as before the race - Primoz. He had good preparations, looking to be in form and I favor him over Remco in the mountains later in the race. Vingegaard clearly hasn't been at his best and I kinda doubt he will be able to show off megawatts in this Vuelta, fading is more likely IMO. Ayuso is young, talented and can perform salto di qualita (as dr Ferrari liked to say). I won't favour him until he does it though. Kuss is an interesting case - I am actually liking his chances more and more but the TT will be his true test and we will know more afterwards.

At this rate the TT will be neutralized.

Feel like we've had three MTFs of nobody having to reveal their cards plus Javalambre, so not much to base anything on that we didn't already know before the race. Still think the decisive stages will be best for Vingegaard and Ayuso and still think that Vingegaard should be winning that battle, he looked just fine on Javalambre.

Had to bump Mikel Landa here to accommodate Almeida rather than just put the top-9, sorry Landani fans.

In any case - who will have red in Madrid? Assuming Guillén et al manage to get us there.
They'll make it to Madrid, but the final GC times will be set by a village sign 17km after the start of the Cruz de Linares stage, using timings given by a drunk Santi Pérez watching from his balcony.
