In Dombrowski and Tiernan-Locke, Team Sky have really managed to kill two amazing talents. Or is this all part of the plan to make them shine next year?
theyoungest said:Yeah. Certainly Dombrowski. If you look at how he rode in those American races last year, he's nowhere near that level now. At Garmin, American riders reach their potential.
Both have been complaining that they are struggling to adapt to the training, which is way too hard for all riders who are human. JTL has even stopped following their training plans now, which has resulted in Sky probably not letting him ride any more races this year...theyoungest said:In Dombrowski and Tiernan-Locke, Team Sky have really managed to kill two amazing talents. As for Dombrowski, he should stop crashing. His ride over Albula shows that he hasn't lost what it takes.

Anybody knows Obando (great name)?

And he's a well-rounded rider. Used to be a good prospect back when he rode for Burgos in 2010 but he stagnated, largely because he didn't have access to good races anymore.
Duartista said:Brenes was in the Movistar continental team in 2011-2012. He was pretty good in the Vuelta a Colombia in 2011, I seem to remember. Unfortunately last year the team downsized from a continental team to a Colombian domestic team due to sponsor decisions, and Brenes lost out.
Ryo Hazuki said:he's called gregory brenes and is maybe the biggest costa rican talent in past 15 years. also rode in europe strongly as u23 and elite and was part of movistar ct team in colombia. I think he's also cousin of the costa rican brenes who took a medal I think in 1996 in mtb(albin brenes?).
