yes I read that too...."multiple" being more than one....so possibly just two....the super heroes Floyd and Tyler.

Honestly, if USADA weren't clutching at straws and hoping he'd cave, they would have released the exact number and even possibly names, instead of trying to sound ominous with the word "multiple". What they are hoping is that Lance is as gullible as some on here seem to be.

You didn't read it too well:
The witnesses to the conduct described in this letter Include more than ten (10) cyclists as well as cycling team employees.

Doesn't have to testify, but volunteered to anyways. How nice of him. George was always a giver

Well it is all just opinion at this time. The letter is just a letter and there has not been any hearing at all so basically any opinion I have is just as good as yours.

I am not sure why you are focusing in on me.

Meh.

Lots and lots of evidence of Lance being dirty. USADA? Not so much.

Of course, we are all free to form opinions.

As I said you didn't read the letter - here's some more for you:
With the exception of Mr. Armstrong, every other U.S. rider contacted by USADA regarding doping in cycling agreed to meet with USADA and truthfully and fully describe their involvement in doping and all doping by others of which they were aware.

Slam Dunk Mas:confused:...if they had George...trust me they would have said.

For the last time, I read the letter, and I think it is very telling that they try to insinuate that George and others testified.

Mas, if it transpires that GH wasn't called you seriously won't be able to show your face here any more. Oh, The shame;)

funny, I thought it was typed...and honestly I have no idea whatsoever your post is meant to mean, which admittedly isn't that unusual.

Don't go all BPC on us and start pretending you meant something else all along - it was in responce to your earlier post

And ya, I would be quite confident that GH is one of those 10.

Fixed that for you. He has already testified before a GJ and (assuming he is one of the ten, and why wouldn't he be if USADA knew he testified before the GJ?) before USADA. What more does the case require?

Edit: the point is if George is on the USADA list, his testimony is already in the books. If he isn't on the list, and hasn't testified before USADA up to now, there is no reason to think they plan to call him later. Either way, the fact that he may retire later this year is irrelevant.

Sponsors not jumping ship--yet.

corporate sponsors offer shows of support for Armstrong, including apparel makers Nike and Oakley and beermaker Anheuser-Busch.

"Our relationship with Lance remains as strong as ever," Nike told USA Today, with Oakley adding, "As always we believe in Lance" in a statement.

"Our partnership with Lance remains unchanged," Anheuser-Busch US marketing vice president Paul Chibe told USA Today.

Race Radio....

I am going to add a rider to something I said before regarding LA fighting....if the WTC allows him to continue racing, which is a distinct possibility then, and only then might he just walk away from the USADA case.

Some interesting further reading here :http://www.slowtwitch.com/News/Armstrong_s_Ironman_Ban_Not_Necessarily_a_Done_Deal_2853.html

"In a poll currently ongoing, 72 percent of Slowtwitchers feel WTC should set aside its current policy and allow Armstrong to race pending the outcome of his NADO hearings"

I know you are particular fond of the speedos Race, so I added it just for you :)

This is great news, hope he finally gets his comeuppance.

I have a few questions:

1. If Lance denies guilt in the hearings, would he leave himself open to perjury because of the feds investigation, thus rendering him unable to contest the USADA case?

2. Does Hincapie have to testify because he apparently didn't testify before the grand jury? Or does talking to the feds still mean he HAS to testify at the hearings?

3. Who do we think the 10 (or at least 10) riders are?

Thanks all.

Huh?

I don't think George was called or testified, and I think the reason the wording regarding all of the other US riders who were called testifying, is used is to try and insinuate one is GH....what else was I supposed to be pretending I meant?

Wow. I mean WOW. That's some compelling stuff right there.

You know, I kind of hope WTC throws out their own policy for Lance and only Lance.

Why would USADA not call George, knowing from the 60 minutes show that he testified before the GJ? Give me one reason why they would not call him?

Sure, he could refuse to testify in front of USADA. But USADA said everyone they called except LA agreed to testify. If they would call LA, a far more difficult subject than George, why would they not call George?

Your case hangs on either: a) you think USADA is flat out lying in the letter when they say everyone they called except LA agreed to testify; or b) USADA decided not to call the one Armstrong associate who was closest to the big honcho, who is highly respected in the peloton, who has never tested positive, whom even the Armstrong machine itself would spin its gears trying to smear if he testified against Lance. And on top of all that, they already know from 60 minutes that he has valuable, critical information, something that can't be said for certain about other ex-teammates they might have called. And that he would be in legal trouble if he changed his testimony.

One thing is for certain. George's retirement is irrelevant. If USADA wanted his testimony, they already have it.

I am going to add a rider to something I said before regarding LA fighting....if the WTC allows him to continue racing, which is a distinct possibility then, and only then might he just walk away from the USADA case.

That is a point I made earlier in another thread--i.e., I think for LA this is as much about being able to continue racing triathlons as it is preserving all his TDF titles.

I go away from the Forum for 1 week and when I get back, it's bursting at the seams with this announcement!!

I'd like to know what:

RadioShack
Trek Corporation
SCA

are saying about these charges.

No the reason USADA didn't name anyone is they don't want Lance intimidating witnesses again. Smart move.

Fine, you don't think GH is one of those - so can give your impression on the guy? At present, do you think he is a bitter jealous doping liar?

As for "what you meant" - you say you read the letter, but went on to query "multiple" saying it could be two - the letter is quite clear that it's more than 10.
