Can't wait for Fat Pat and Lance's trained legal monkeys to come up with the "WADA is misinterpreting the WADA code" arguments...

In London, Pat was seen on the phone with LA shortly after being quizzed by Neal Rodgers.

He was overheard saying in hushed tones.... " FFS, Lance, I'm doing everything I can. What else can I do??"

The above was made up... although it may have actually happened.:)

Don't worry I'm sure Hein Verbruggen will come up with a killer plan, think the A-Team then multiply by 92847287428974 and before you know it all will be fine.

Like I said before, remake of Reservoir Dogs now being shot in Aigle, CH......lots of blood, treachery, lies, but now with different accents from an International cast.....

McQuiad and Verbuggen are on thin ice. This is really big deal, if they do not back off the UCI could be kicked out of the Olympics.

If you work at the UCI time to flip on those fools and preserve the sport

I can see McQuaid announcing some form of "doping ammesty" program. Attempting to create something to look good and getting themselves out of the Armstrong problem.

He's hopelessly compromised. Still, its hard to see how he'll fall even if the corruption is revealed. Who would dare run a vote of no confidence?

His preferences and views are increasingly irrelevant by the minute. I believe we've never experienced an official within the realm of international sports committing seppuku in full public view like McQuaid has done during the last weeks.
Just wait until the USADA gives its verdict and journos wise up to the level of complicity from the head honchos at UCI. McQuaid is out.

Not a chance. McQuaid will be there until he wants to leave. You think small countries like Qatar and West Bumfarkastan will vote McQuaid out? Think again.

I don't think it really matters now what he does. He's just been told (again) to go sit at the children's table and leave the adults to their business.

Pat is up for "re-election" next year - I think by then someone else will be put forward with the aim to remove Pat ......

...not Reservoir Dogs - they all died in the end.

This is Pulp Fiction - Pat & Hein are Z & The Gimp - and David Howman has just walked in with a samurai sword.

It won't work. While all the cycling nations that matter may want him out, he and Verbruggen have spent years doling out the favors to the small countries in far flung lands with national feds that are just as corrupt as the UCI.

Right now, at this very instant in London, McQuaid and Verbruggen are schmoozing the people they need to maintain power.

Like more WT-races in strange and distand countries...

True - but there is always a tipping point.
Pat & Hein are politicians not sports administrators and they have built up the system for their own needs - but going head to head with WADA could mean cycling is in danger of getting kicked out of the Olympics.
There is always a bigger picture.

Like the entire Asia Tour and races up and down two lane highways in Middle Eastern deserts...

Indeed, and if Pat has his way I am sure thats only the beginning... Am really sick of all those horrible oversea WT-races and points-rules that force teams to hire crap oversea riders just to keep Pat in his golden throne

Exactly.

Beyond that, we concentrate on the european pro side of the sport here but the average national fed just cares about the Olympics, amateur cycling, and a very small to non-existent pro side of the sport in their own country or region. The European pro stuff does not matter much to the small countries, and they may even support the UCI's attempt to sweep doping under the rug.

Nah, a humble scientist like yourself and not even well connected anymore...perhaps the hugest difference between us is that I worked for some corporate types who were essentially scumbags..worked in the capacity of their sole technical brain and I figured out not to trust them.

To the point ...All I did was to provide heads up on the wada reaction when it was about to be due in my own estimate...

that's right fellows, the great legend of the "any given tuesday" is coming true.

Today, Tuesday, WADA officially and publicly is supporting USADA against the UCI and armstrong.
