His best sprint since losing one to De Marchi at Varesine a few years back. And Formolo managed the coveted 7th out of 6.
Chinastan locked in getting those UCI points.
Astana took 150 points today, (maybe more I only see the top 10 placings so far) and they need about 14,000 total this season to stay up.Chinastan locked in getting those UCI points.
Automatic GT invites for next year is a realistic target.Astana took 150 points today, (maybe more I only see the top 10 placings so far) and they need about 14,000 total this season to stay up.
So they are 1% of the way there.
Higuita really mucked it up in TDU today, so not an entirely good day for them.
The opposite outcome would have been more of a surprise these days.
After his performance on stage three? I think losing 90 seconds was really disappointing. 40 seconds would have been more accpetable/to be expected.
They built up a maximum lead of three minutes but Cofidis , Q36.5 and Jayco AlUla, with the Australian team riding for 2024 winner Michael Rogers.

The last climb is pretty brutal. 3,5 km @ 9%. It might be too much for the likes of Hirschi, although there are 10 km from the top to the finish line. I think this suits Martinez very well, and he's my favorite. His teammate Buitrago should also like this, and he's the designated leader for Bahrain. Christen could be the biggest threat on the climb, although I've yet to see him do anything that suggests that he's capable of dropping Martinez and Buitrago here. I think it's too hard for the likes of Morgado, Madouas, and even Aranburu. I like Champoussin as an outsider. He was going well yesterday, and he has a good sprint.Who wins tonight (for me at least)? I don't know a lot about the race honestly
Yeah, previous editions are seemingly good for sprinters but this one looks a lot harder. Engelhardt is a smokie for meThe last climb is pretty brutal. 3,5 km @ 9%.
