Alvarez is only 19 yo but he was with the leading 4 when the road tilted up. If he could land top 10 again in today's Classica Valenciana, Trek should send him to their training camp to join the likes of Ciccone, Ayuso and Petersen.

Being a rider from the Rose Rockets was pulling the peloton for a while I got to see the Rockets' kit in its full glory for the first time... I think it looks like something an eccentric old lady would wear. But it's definitely unique and visible, so that's good.

There's a two-man break with a 48s gap right now but still 52km to go, and the profile appears to be flat (or false flat) from now on. So no hope for the break at all, have no idea which sprint train will eventually win this.

Yeah, that's a very strong group 1, I would imagine one of the riders from that group will win.
