Valverde in dears

Well, it was rather interesting to read yesterday's news article about Valverde abandoning the Vuelta.

At first, I was very sad to learn that he crashed. But then I was very happy that "After consolation with doctors and team staff, he did remount and continue the stage". There's nothing better than good consolation from your doctor to get you going again!

Alas, my happiness did not last long, as soon after "He climbed off the bike and appeared to break down in dears as he hugged his team director". Oh dear... I hope they at least stay dear to each other so that he will get over this disappointment soon!

By the way, CyclingNews, thanks for your hard work trying to teach us non-native English speakers some new useful vocabulary! ;)

Funny, "breaking down in dears" is now corrected in the article, but "after consolation with doctors" is still there. So message just half-taken..!
