Looking for a few holiday gift ideas and thinking about a varia rear light to go with my edge 530. Is it worth it?

Thanks!

This is very good. Reacts to surrounding light levels and flares when you brake which is really useful, not just to alert cars, when you are descending and someone wants to follow you.

I strongly recommend the Cycliq Fly 6:

For some reason my post removed the link I added. I was talking about the Exposure Lights Blaze MK3.

Didn't get the rear light for Christmas, but got my first helmet, and the front Varia, and my first pair of cycling glasses, so rear Varia this spring. :)

I think the Varia is overrated. It doesn't do anything that a $15 mirror can't do. The tail light at night is only 20 lumens, that sort of lumens went away 20 years ago, so you would be better served buying a brighter light like the NiteRider Omega 330, this light puts out up to 330 lumens. If you need a light that gets brighter when you brake Magic Shine has one.
