Tilford calling a spade a spade in this blog:

Have you seen this by Steve Tilford?

Tilford: I finally get the Vaughters damage control plan. He is going to methodically, pre-release information, before it is dropped like a bomb from a B-52, hoping to help negate the bad press and astonishment from the eventual fallout of the Lance deal.
Tilford's assessment of vaughters' public statements as "damage control" is spot on. Vaughters is very aware that the tides are turning.
soon, those who continue to deny the obvious will be taking more heat and bad press than those who admit.

Interesting analysis also of Tommy D.
Tilford not holding back.
Tilford: Jonathan, Tom wasn’t doing it because he didn’t have any other choice when he was “ready” to turn Pro, Tom was skipping all that. He was doing it to cheat his way into the sport. There is a huge difference there. But, he meets your guide lines, so **** it.

Mods: i realize there are a number of related threads already, so feel three to delete this one. Though tilford's blog perhaps is controversial enough to warrant a separate thread(?)

Maybe JV is even more PR savy than I thought....his twitters seems absurd if Tilford is right.
