Pretty good CN ed:

and the burning Q: "Now, rather than asking who was right and who was wrong, maybe what we should be asking is will Wilier invest in women cyclists now that they are sponsoring the World Champion, and perhaps create a bike for her to win the Olympic Games on? "

I think that the BeOne is a Trek as well. So her Wilier is a BeOne that is a Trek.

I thought it was weird that they would sponsor a women's team but, according to the article, have limited stock available for women.

Looking at previous photos of Villumsen competing for NZ I noticed two things:

1. It's not the first time she's done this

2. The bike might not be a Trek, but rather a BeOne

On a side note Wilier does not make a track frame so their sponsorship allows riders to use non-Wilier brand track bikes.

The bike is a Trek, but further evidence is that there are no TT bikes on the BEONE website.
Please note use of the word "might". Beone isn't a brand I'm familiar with and the frame shape appears identical to what Villumsen used last week.

What it does prove is that Villumsen has done this before at a previous team, without all of the commotion that UHC has raised. So surely they must be feeling a bit pedantic. Villumsen should get the UCI or CAS involved if they penalise her.
