1990 Moser Leader frames came with an expander bolt seat post...no seat collar. I can't find a seat post. Could one cut a slot in seat tube and use an after market collar to clamp a post?
thanks

Moser seat post

Yes, you can cut a slot (with a hole drilled at the bottom of the slot to prevent fracturing like any conventional slot on a steel frame). Then use a collar.

This shop in Australia had a couple of the expander bolt seat posts for older Moser frames ("Timec") a couple of years ago although they wouldn't be on his site if he still has them ......

Owner's name is Kerry. If you get in touch with him remind him he still owes me a Moser fork. I can be contacted on keabla@bigpond.com.
