Lol me thinks the organisers are big fat Catalan nationalists.

Michael Albasini is "Swiss", Cadel Evans is "Australian" but Joaquim Rodriguez is "Catalan".
To give them the benefit of the doubt, isn't there a trophy and prize for the best Catalan rider?

At Dutch Eurosport a woman is doing the commentary. I know it's irrational but I can't handle this :D Problems to take her serious.

Why is that woman not in the kitchen?

Yes but what does that have to do with presenting Purito's nationality as "Catalan"?

It's a big deal in Spain though, Basques are exactly the same. Have you seen what flags are next to Irizar and Zubeldia on RSNT's website?

Hey don't shoot, I have no problem with catalanism... I just found it striking that the organisers would do something so bold.

Indeed I traveled in northern Spain last year. They say things like 'this is not Spain, it is Galicia (or Catalonia, or Castile, etc.) and they fly their own flags.

You're right, but I have trouble picturing someone saying "this is not Spain, it is Castile".

okay Castile-Leon :)

And they all have different versions of language. I scored major points by saying hello, etc in the local versions.
