I see nobody's willing to open the next thread if I don't do it...

Homage to Xavier Tondó with a finish in his hometown tomorrow.

It could turn out to be a very interesting stage.

Think this will be fun.

Alt de Prades (11,0 km @ 4,0%, max. 6,0%)

Alt de Lilla (6,1 km @ 4,8%, max. 7,0%)

Scarponi will go full power on the descent.

I hope to see Quintana go berserk on the final climb and solo in to the stage win and race lead (although I would really like to see Dan Martin win the overall too ), in honor of Xavier.

The two local boys wrecking the field on the way to La Seu d'Urgell in 2010.

Purito is also one of the pros that does the 100x100 Tondó tribute ride as well (here he is with Horrach, Cuesta and Jufré):

I wonder if Sky will try something. Looks like a stage for furious tempo ride.

I'm not sure Rodriguez wants this as much as Martin. I might be mental but it kind of feels like no matter what Rodriguez may have in store, that Martin's desire to win this thing will be enough for him to take the GC. I don't think anyone would have guessed he'd take another 4sec today.

Purito will take control of the race here, sorry for Martin though.

Probably wouldn't bother feeling sorry for Martin. He put in what'll most likely turn out to be one of the rides of the year and stuck it to the skytrain. No amount of 300m digs will take away from that.

Right, other than being Catalán, Purito doesn't have much motivation to win.

I missed almost all guesses. 1 stage A "Sir" .... descent attack gains 28 seconds on the peloton. 2. Okay 3. Quitnana wins. Difference in minimum time. Climbing long useless. 4. Lider falls, Martin and Garmim win with class and tactical successes. 5 . Martin gets unexpected time differences. ¨ 6. guesses?

MArtins got such strong support too now, and with extra seconds even a j rod stage win in next two days might not be enough if Martin can follow.

2 possible scenarios

- controlled break, nothing to win for the others, so we will be watching and be bored
- option 2, controlled break, all hell breaks loose behind as time gaps are small enough that enough people may be bothered to try sth here

hope for 2nd scenario.....

Dan Martin will defend his jersey I suppose, he has good form and a decent team support to control the other contenders
