That result is the 100 Year Tour sprint, I think. This has no bonus seconds.
The second true sprint, which has bonus seconds, is coming up soon. Happytramp gave us some bum info, sorry, Happy, don't be sad if I say mean things.

Given how close some of the times of the top 10 are we could see some real action today and tommorow.

Yes, dropped on Vallter 2000, but climbing with the same speed as Quintana and Purito the day after, demolishing the breakaway by riding the whole final climb on the front. He's improved very rapidly during the race. I wonder if he targets the Giro or Tour this year, he could surprise many if he's improved yet again.

Dan Martin has hayfever problems so Giro is always problematic for him. Martin is better use as a domestique in the Tour or leader in the Vuelta than a domestique in the Giro.

When you take a look at the numbers of Valter2000 it is no surprise guys got dropped at that stage, last 3K were ridden at 28k/h. Uphill that is, with parts of 12%...

catalunya is basically the race in which he feels the best. that's absolutely no surprise he's strong.also undeniable talent
i'm not sure though that purito really should go all-in here. he has other, bigger objectives this year.

Yeah, he even calls it his home race (don't know if he lives in the area).

Disappointed that Meersman was beaten by Gerrans.

Dyachenko 3rd, Ratto 4th. Wyss 5th, Simon 6th

So Wyss couldn't beat the climbers on stage 1 and still got a train.

Well, not so much a train, but still it was too much effort for a 5th place.

And Gerrans looked like a real sprinter.
