Nice race. I believe Gesink was also planning to do this one. Probably getting dropped

The field looks very strong (prelim list on cyclingfever).

The FDJ GC force is in play:

Elissondo
Jeannesson
Pinot

Still J-Rod FTW.

Seems a good route.
But really, how the hell did they manage to do such horrible profiles?

Wiggo vs. Hesjedal, the first face-off.

Sky's team:

CATALDO Dario Italy
EDMONDSON Joshua United Kingdom
KENNAUGH Peter United Kingdom
KNEES Christian Germany
LOPEZ GARCIA David Spain
PATE Danny United States
URAN Rigoberto Colombia
WIGGINS Bradley United Kingdom

Clearly enough power to run a train for a few days.

Does anybody know if we have bonus secs in the race?

Last year there wasn't any bonus seconds. I don't know about this year.

At least the top ten won't be decided by whoever finishes 7th in the sprint on the last stage this year.

Looks like a mighty good route, like many I'm looking forward to seeing how Wiggins goes. Valverde looks like a good pick for GC.

Only if he gets sick again, his form was pretty good prior. Don't despair immediately.

Anyway, let's hope the mountain stages don't get cancelled like last year..

Weird profiles but route looks great. Something for Purito or Valverde, Wiggins maybe for third podium spot.
Hopefully without a snowstorm like last year, ruined the whole race.
