Don't think I've seen Evenepoel struggle this much after dropping everyone uphill before. He looked ragged.

Remco mate should be at altitude preparing for Paris nice, Sanremo, Flanders , ardennes. Instead you want to farm these races which would have been entertaining without you. You're supposed to be racing pocagar not pablo castrillo

Paris-Nice is more important than the UAE Tour.
Besides, Almeida is doing Giro and he's not good at the Classics, so it's normal that he's doing this pre-Giro schedule.

You would think so, historically certainly. and i 2 value a PN win more than an UAE Tour win. Yet strangely i am currently finding the UAE startlist as impressive as the PN Startlist, even with Vingegaard delaying his debut.

If remco wins GC tommorrow he'll be the first belgian to win it since Eddy. Belgium had a long draught GC wise indeed.

Today's result doesn't indicate anything for the Tour. Remco has always beaten these riders on courses like Liège. The UAE Tour against Vingegasrd on the tough climb would have been a good first indicator. We'll have to wait until Catalunya.

I don't think so. First, this is February. Second, we know he's elite on terrain like this. Third, competition wasn't the best. Fourth , we don't know what % of his max that is compared to others. Fifth, Tour is decided on 30+ minute climbs, not 5 minute ones

It'a the sort of effort he needs exposure to if he wants a gc future. RB gave him the ideal setup and then sat on his rivals should he need assistance. It's an early test and he's hitting his marks. Excellent so far!
