This you?
I will never obsess about it as in I would never base my opinion of a rider on his tendency to pull or not. I simply don't care about stuff like that.

I can for sure obsess about people doing that, however, because at times it's all they're talking about.

Also, you're too smart to not know what I meant, so I don't really get why you made that post.

If you play the card that I won't ride because I have a sprinter behind, then you will get fewer breaks make it to the finish, because anyone can argue they have a sprinter behind.

Fantastic tactics by August. All young riders should be watching Michal kiwatokowski in the final of 2017 milan Sanremo as a crucial piece of education.

But he didn't "claim" he really had a sprinter, who was the second biggest favourite for the stage.
Besides I'm not sure about his sprint, but he probably wasn't the fastest (despite his win), so if he has to work, he may as well go bach to the main group working for Turner and the break doesn't succeed anyway.

It's a bit ironic that August did a Bradbury....in a way today.
Probably about to change careers to short track if cycling doesn't work.

I'm pretty sure his sprint was by far the worst of the front group, and he was also the worst rouleur so it would get even worse by contributing. And he was already out of the GC too. Vervenne and Vermeersch played their cards way too early in the sprint, and Holter almost beat August despite working his ass off. So if there's one situation where not working makes all the tactical sense in the world, it's this one.

He absolutely did claim in his post race interview that he failed to help because he had Turner for the sprint.

Almeida getting pure luck. Casually let 3'44 time slide by yesterday and now lost 3 seconds today to Remco, only for the times to be later recalculated.

He's getting off the hook big time.

I've conducted some technical field research using highly precise measuring equipment and concluded that Mats Wenzel has benefitted massively from the cancelled tt. He is a real battler who can also climb and I noticed he's stolen some bonus seconds getting in the break so might be due a good GC result here for Kern.

Yes, a completely new concept that every rider in a group gets the same time...

Hell of a stretch to call that a Bradbury. It's not like he was staying out of trouble hoping the others would fall.

The cycling equivalent of that would perhaps be taking a safer route over cobbles hoping the people in front get punctures or something.
