So after the exciting Milano SanRemo, we have an exciting stage race. Ayuso come to this race fresh after winning Tirreno, hoping for more wins. Roglic returns to racing, honing his for before the Giro. However Vingegaard will not race as he's still not recovered from his crash. But we get the return of mythical Sepp Kuss instead, as well as Geraint Thomas.

Stage 1 looks a bit easier than usual, but instead they do the full coast road from Tossa del Mar this time. I guess it should offer enough left, right, up and down to thin out the bunch before the sprint, if wanted
