Almost exactly a year ago. A stage in Coppi e Bartali where he also almost won the overall.

Aru will hardly get a podium in Pais Vasco...

On what basis you say that? Aru has shown he has some great hilly skills, and as Quintana was proving year over year, the TT will be won by hardmen. Every chance Aru will do very well.

Aru has also shown some weakness on very steep climbs when the gradient gets 10%+. There are a few in P-V, also in the ITT.

Aru said that his main goal for the spring is to peak for Pais Vasco and the Ardennes, but I have to agree with johnymax, Aru has shown some weakness on +10% steep climbs, the Catalunya climbs on the other hand should suit him well.
