This Vuelta website is beyond bad.

They mean Castroviejo.
Use the Spanish language ticker.

I am a bit alarmed by a lack of links to split times on the vuelta page
+1

Just post the intermediate times, we don't need to read "rider X has passed the intermediate with time Z" every minute.

Froome will take at least a minute out of Contador today. I also think that Rodriguez will do relatively well.

I'd take that right now if I were Froome.

Well, I have been barracking for Contador so I hope I am wrong. But yes, I think Froome would hope for around that. The descending is going to be the big deciding factor on how large the time gap will be. The time can be reigned back in quite easily on the descent of this course.

Had to laugh at the Eurosport live stage report. One comment has the climb going up 447km !

12:15 - Today's 39.5km time trial is not a straight forward flat affair: the Cat.3 Monte Castrove starts at the 13.5km mark and lasts 10km with an average gradient of 4.4% and a maximum gradient of 8%. All in all, there's a 447km rise from Cambados to the summit, before the descent and run into Pontevedra. On paper, the ITT is quite similar to the first ITT of the Tour de France, which also features a climb

It also thinks second to last man off, Froome may very well catch Rodriquez. Well perhaps he might if Froome has to stop to do a "Paula Radcliffe"

12:30 - One rider is leaving every minute at the momentl. This will continue until the top 20, who will leave at two-minute intervals. That could feasibly create a scenario where the red jersey Joaquim Rodriguez is caught by second-place Chris Froome.

Buffoons

I am not convinced about Contador's legs atm. I could be proved wrong though.
I have my doubts about Froome's legs too. I wouldn't be surprised if they both underperformed, or if one of them destroyed the other.

Froome must be too good to turn around the Earth and catch the man who starts AFTER him. I think it's feasible :D

Clement at 46 seconds at the top of the climb. Suppose he is going all out as a marker for the later Raboriders and also trying to keep their position in the team competition. Maaskant gone fastest at the finish (temporarily) but didnt appear on the 23.5km check point times:confused:

Ratto may well be eliminated. Castroviejo's time only needs to be bettered by a minute

Edit: or not. it's a 35% limit for some strange reason

Castroviejo finishes in 54.10. Assuming the time limit is 25% then that equals +13.33. Ratto so far the slowest at +12.10. If someone later on takes a bit over a minute off Castroviejo then Ratto could be in trouble.

Edit: Too slow about Ratto!

Keizer 1 sec faster then Castroviejo at the first split though.

Does anyone know the time limit, Ratto @ 12.19 from Castroviejo at the finish doesnt look to good.

Ok, makes sense with the hill although i dont think that has been the case with some mountain time trials before.

Ah, can see Maaskant's time at the 23.5km point now

Ratto finished deadlast yesterday so I think we can assume he's having health problems.

Keizer faster than Catroviejo at first time split, but he will drop back at the climb.

Cheers, yes seen it now. Sure it wasnt there until after the finish time went up. maybe a few technical problems or im going mad. No matter, was just wondering how he had fared at that point.

Bodnar second at the top of the hill now.
