Cummings learnt from Hushovd about wheelsucking yourself into a win.

Absolute nonsense.

Great finish. Great win.

Broken pelvis in February, GT stage win in August. Chapeau Steve.

Well, he did get into the breakaway earlier today, one of those pulled back, so he's not feeling that bad.

Anyway, the break will probably not succeed, the time difference has not even been up to 4 minutes, for the past 40k the bunch has kept them between 3 - 3.30.

Almost a super day for GreenEdge with 2nd, 4th and 8th in the stage. The Meyer - Clarke combo in the break was always going to help make it a strong group and hats off to Meyer who has been in 2 breaks in the last 3 or 4 stages and in both was caught inside the last few kms. It looked like Clarke might have been looking to grab a sprint win with Meyer assisting there in the last kms but well done to the Cummings surge, it broke them up and he had a great solo there at the end to take an excellent win.

Splendid result for Cummings.... he should buy Gerdemans a drink for being in the break... it was the soft-tapping by Linus that throw everyone's thinking into turmoil... I imagine the word 'scumbag' was starting to appear in quite a few of their thought bubbles...without Gerdemans the whole group would have kept on driving closer to the line.

Great ride by Cummings. I was thinking with 20km to go the break would be caught and why is Viviani in the break but then the impetus from the sprinter's teams went out and so hats off to him for choosing the right day. Meyer looked very strong- he just worked for Clarke too much and i would have picked him over Cummings/ Flecha ( in a 3 up sprint ), this is also his 3rd break and he rode a good ITT- hopefully he could get the most aggressive award. Flecha has had to work a lot for his team and looked to be suffering but his attack showed his fighting spirit.

All in all a great stage.

Just seen the replay for yesterdays stage, very strong riders in the breakaway so it always had the chance to go to the finish. Good win for Cummings although i was hoping Fletcha would get the win. Argos chase was very lame and never looked likely of pulling them back, but i suppose they only like to take it up with 500mtrs to go ;)
