TV commentator just mentioned that there is a rumour J Rod didn't even get on his bike during the rest day yesterday, which could explain his collapse today.

It seems very strange and unlikely to me, but I thought it may interest others.

Valverde is going to win this stage too.

It's gonna be close.
Berto might know what's going on and save some for the steepest section.

Wow. This almost doesn't seem real??? It's a Landis like ride (not implying anything here).

Bad rest day? How do you explain this?

The long cage derailleur, less chain tension :)

I think Valverde will make it back to Contador again, which is too bad since Alberto really deserves the win now.

But whatever.. he will win the Vuelta this way. Saturday will be great again.

What? If Rodriguez could follow him, we wouldn't have had the gripping stage that we've had...
Purito didn't have to crack completely for this to be exciting. If he lost red by a few seconds Bola del Mundo would still be desisive.

Vuelta wins the kings of the GT this year for sure.

Without a doubt. The Giro I enjoyed, the Tour de Bore, glad Wiggo won, but not a Sky fan.

Vuelta, wow, Its been class, I have really enjoyed it.

Catch is almost happening. I hate that this is happening, but the end result is Contador is in red so I'm happy.

Holy crap! I had no idea this stage was going to be so ridiculous. If I had, I would've taken off work.

Great tactics by AC and SBTB, and perfect execution, definitely deserve the win, stage or overall.

No but in the end, what did happen?

Contador attacked on the first climb or what?
where are the rest of the top 10?

Understood, I wish he was losing less time too, but my point is that if he hadn't been gapped, Contador wouldn't have kept going like he has. They may have battled on this last climb, but I have enjoyed the longer-term drama of the day.

well a quick resume would've been nice.
Anyway, tell me if I'm correct.
AC attacked (where?) and Purito popped (?)

@Cineteq: God bless this is not a typical Unipublic stage.

Penultimate climb, bridged more or less solo to break and teammates. Gained time on descent/false flat.
