Contador could lose the entire race here.

EDIT: never mind. I thought he had further to go.
Of course if you listen to these commenters that hate AC, they never told you how short the distance was remaining.

Stage 17 > Stage 20... anti-climatic, more of a grind with no changes. So much for the mythical climb.

so contador won this vuelta without being the strongest climber at all.

serves them right for not attacking

Indeed.

Damn. JRod would SO have deserved this... Strongest climber in the field by far... and one weak day spoils all...

Well, now it's 100% clear that Contador didn't win the Vuelta a España. Paulinho and Tiralongo did. Alberto was the smartest rider in the race, but certainly not the strongest one.

Good ride by Sicard, 5th on the stage. Hopefully he's returning back to form.
Froome hangs on to 4th place.

So Contador has won the Vuelta despite not being at his best.

The Fuente De charge has depleted his power

Winning stage races is more than being strong.

Matti Breschel said that 'purito' was so arrogant that he didn't pay attention.. well that's probably the price of being too much thinking ahead...
