Last rumours:

http://ciclismo.as.com/ciclismo/2013/11/29/vuelta_espana/1385686198_933107.html

General course: Andalucía, Castilla-La Mancha, Aragón, La Rioja, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Asturias and Galicia. No Pyrenees.
Only 8 or 9 MTF. Still not decided if Ancares (Pan do Zarco side) will be MTF or they'll finish after the descent.
At least 2 new MTFs. One of them we already know (Camperona), the other one is still unknown.
Last stage in Santiago is a TT.

Is there somewhere to finish descending off Ancares without 20km of flat? I seem to recall that was the problem in 2011.

Building industry has been so powerful in my country that when a meteorit came down is not a big problem...:D:p:cool:

Nice village, Spain is full of amazing places, History an heritage, and luckily The Vuelta is year by year more and more joining that with cycling, although whe are far from Italy still in that issue. They are master, they have a big cycling culture and they have a huge heritage as well, likely the bigest of the world, but we are close.

Couldn't agree more. To anyone who hasn't been go and watch La Vuelta and see some amazing places and meet some great people.

On the way from Teruel to Cantabria in the north there is growing especulation of at least one stage in La Rioja. The town of Ezcaray has requested to host a stage finish on top of Alto de la Cruz de la Demanda

Of course, this is nothing but a rumour, but a mostly flat ride to a MTF fits well with Unipublic stage design philosophy.

I have climbed this climb, it is close to my house, it is hard and nice, but it is the same valley than Valdezcaray, vey close, and Valdezcaray has recently be a finish stage, and it is a ski resort, Cruz de la Demanda has not the same economic call...

It just can put a 3rd/2nd category climb before, Pradilla, but the previous flat it could be interesting for the wind, as we see with SKY and Valverde last time in Valdezcaray.

It would be nice for me to see La Cruz as well, I would prefer that than Los Lagos again, but it is very unlike and it would be similar to others Vuelta stages.

cruz de la demanda is a must for my DYC old style vuelta

naranco, cerler, cruz de la demanda, valdezcaray, navacerrada i want them all

You're too young, man. A true old style Vuelta would only include Pajares, Escudo, Navacerrada and Orduña and never as MTF.

No Cerler, but Navacerrada is cool. The stage of 2004 was heaven!

I hope the stage to Ubrique will come back one day, the one from 2002.
