Vuelta 2018 stage 13: Candás - La Camperona 174.8km

La Camperona and Praeres are pure muritos. Much harder than any hill but not really true mountains. It favors types like Woods/Yates/Henao over Alaphilippe and (to some extent) even Valverde.

I expect "Brit Purito" to win today AND tomorrow. He needs to gain time on Quintana before his brutal third week form.

Remember when during the giro people were panicking that 8 men teams lead to the end of big breaks

I know. I am sure I have heard Brian Smith arguing that smaller teams means smaller, weaker breaks during one race and then at another race arguing that smaller teams means larger, more uncontrolled breaks. His argument just depended on what had happened during the previous few stages.

Majka is only at 5'30 from Yates. It's way more dangerous than King. The breakaway has already 8 minutes. Interresting.

The thing is, MS and Movistar will probably be quite tired after already chasing hard for the last two days. (I know they gave the break a lot of leeway yesterday in the first half of the stage but in the 2nd half they went full throttle) If this break works well together the peloton will have a very hard time controlling it.
