Love the tool boxes with 1-2-3 in sharpie as a podium.

And one being conveniently just slightly bigger than the other two.

Best GT podium ceremony ever tbh

Its interesting that IPT is not being mentioned in the list of organizers even though Ricitello was there to get his white jersey

Just because he was there doesn't mean IPT were one of the organisers.
It was just a matter of contacting him:
"Hey, kid! Get over here, we're having a party!"

All World Tour teams should boycott the Vuelta next year. Spanish Organization, Government and Police have been a shambles.
I think it might be better to take not just one or two but maybe 10 steps back, when these very very motivated people find out that they can piggyback their cause on live sports broadcasts they are going to use other events to do the same thing. Cycling is unique because the sports venue is out in the public, 100s of kilometers long, it's the definition of indefensible.. Tennis court, football stadium, basketball, baseball, hockey all much easier to defend.. Golf course? Much harder by surface but have defined entries into the venue ..Spanish police did a good job..nobody was seriously injured thank God..Romo is said to recover from his crash.

I should like to add to this, that the Danish commentary said Spanish police had mustered more personnel than they did during the 2022 NATO summit - and still failed.

Cycling has to come to terms with the fact, that the sport IS indeed "indefensible" from these kinds of protests, and a lot of interest groups will have seen the press coverage the protests got and be inspired.

We should also remember that IPT is not the only WT or PT team with "state affiliations" - and some of those states are autocracies - so exiled opposition from those countries could get inspired.

Troubling times ahead.

Looks like they're gonna hold a mini podium ceremony anyway:
