Coppel will go well and then of course Engoulvent (stage).
Valverde will be hard to dethrone, but a couple of the top teams are sending what appears to be double leadership:

Astana: Brajkovic+ Fuglsang
Lotto: JVBD + Jelle
Eus: Anton + Nieve
Blanco: Gesink + Mollema

Looks like we have a potential GC race in the making.

Movistar's combination of Piti & Quintana may be the most dangerous here I would say. Valverde won this race last year as well so he should be "extra" motivated.

König for Netapp - Endura will be competitive, if he isn't preparing for Giro. I think he could even do podium if he's in form.

Nope.

Classification with approx 20 riders in

1. Maxim Belkov (Katusha) 6:56
2. Martijn Keizer (Vacansoleil) 6:56
3. Bart de Clercq (Lotto-Belisol) 6:56
4. Ion Izagirre (Euskaltel-Euskadi) 6:58
5. Jack Bobridge (Blanco) 7:00

I think Bobridge finished almost dead last in the Giro prologue last year, so this is an improvement. The guy is just not a great prologue rider, but keeps being named as one.

edit: lol, Quintana with the same time as Bobridge.

Current top 10

1. Simon Spilak (Katusha) 6:48
2. Tyler Farrar (Garmin-Sharp) 6:50
3. Maxim Belkov (Katusha) 6:56
4. Martijn Keizer (Vacansoleil) 6:56
5. Bart de Clercq (Lotto-Belisol) 6:56
6. Jakob Fuglsang (Astana) 6:58
7. Ion Izagirre (Euskaltel-Euskadi) 6:58
8. J. Iván Gutiérrez (Movistar Team) 6:59
9. Anthony Delaplace (Sojasun) 6:59
10. Vladimir Gusev (Katusha) 6:59

Gesink 7.29 but guess he has an excuse if it started raining.

Sounds more like crash/mechanical problems to me. There are only 4 corners, and his time is more than 20 seconds slower than last year.(with way worse form)
