Andy Schleck heard Dekker_T's scathing criticism of his finishing position yesterday and is on the attack early in today's stage!

I (like to) think it was my e-mail to LEOPARD TREK which did it

TGGN (The Great Giacomo Nizzolo) 4th (2nd Top-5 this season) ... think he's got what it takes

Ventoso's always been good, but here he finally has a top level team who are able to give him opportunities in the kind of races he can win (he isn't going to be winning TDF bunch sprints, but a slightly bumpier course that eliminates pure sprinters he will be a threat in). The likes of him and Rojas could do well at a race like Tirreno-Adriatico. Of course his troubles back in 2008 are a part of why he's been slumming it at CarmioOro, but he had numerous wins in 2009-10 and has merited his return to the top.

I think he stepped down as a blogger. It seems like cyclingnews only has his entries back from March 2010, which is too bad because I remember in an older one he wrote about Brian Nygaard when he left for Sky. It would be interesting to read that again

Well for most of the great ones English is not the first languags so i doubt we are getting too many gt winner types.

But how do you know that "lots of ppl in peloton read Cycling news forum..."?

Sometimes in their tweets they mention certain forum... JV read CN forum, TVG as well, I think that MiniPhinney sometime tweeted something about CN Forum... and other examples... not all the peloton have twitter account nor they have a CN forum account but They read it...

Reading some of these folks on Twitter (particularly Cancellara) it would seem they picked up spoken English from the peloton rather than from any sort of formal education. It's fascinating, there's all sorts of substratum layers you can identify in their idiolects, as well as details that only make sense if written English doesn't enter the equation, but I assume using English in a forum like this would be pretty tiresome for them.

JV was on here a week ago. I helped him out with his tour squad;)

Christian, could you tell us the content of that e-mail to Leopard? Could it perhaps have been of a threatening nature?

Kilómetro 19. Andy Schleck (Leopard-Trek) y Moreno (Caja Rural) forman la escapada inicial, con 50" sobre el pelotón.

Again!

Schleck really does read these boards. We criticise him for doing nothing in most races he starts. And he starts attacking 2 stages in a row

Let's just say I've got some pretty interesting photo material involving a former Saxo Bank rider and large amounts of a potato-based beverage ;)

No seriously though, I didn't do anything ... maybe this is the beginning of the new Andy?
