Nice stage; Chapeau Quintana!!!!

Nice showing from Basso today, he is serious, looks good for Vuelta.

Nibs LOL blew himself up but looking darn good for Vuelta. D*mn he could be a 3 time GT winner shortly :)

Just checked the stage results, QUINTANA! Great results! :) Chock up another stage race for his palmares. He won't be doing the Vuelta, correct?

Nice to see Basso up there as well, and Nibali's form seems on the rise.

Quintana is so f*cking cool.

We might struggle to find him a stage hard enough in this year's Tour of Britain but it should be entertaining having him around regardless.

What's not to love about Nibbles?
To me he's become the best rider of THIS generation (I consider Quintana & Co., even guys like Uran, the new gen), always attacking even when his form is ****, always up there in the top end of the race.

He's gonna smash the Vuelta.

Intrseting to see that Landa in 2011 climbed with a faster ( marginal but still ) time than Nairo. The lad has tons of talent, hope he can shown it at Astana too.

the reason they were climbing so slow this year was because the stage was way harder. they already did lagunas de neile before the final climb.

And iirc landa did most of the climb solo. Ofc we should take into account that Nairo's form is on the downhill and Nibali is far from top form but it still is a mighty impressive performance from Landa. Has he been confirmed to astana? I saw nothing on Biciciclismo so i assumed it were just rumours.

Oh and Nairo received his own weight in Cherries and gave one of the boxes to a few Colombians that were cheering for him at the top with Colombian flags.

No he has not. He said at the start of stage 4 that these published stories are false, said he still has 1 year left on contract with Euskaltel, and that he would not make any decisions about a new team until he was sure EUS were definitely stopping.

Which: now with rumblings of a possible Euskaltel-Lampre merge, would explain why he might stay. Good thing Matxin is at Lampre....

Me too, man. Me too.

Edit-
And yes, Matxin has been at Lampre already for a few months now. Can't remember when he was hired by them - it was after this season had started, but maybe(?) post-Giro

edit again- He went to Lampre in March of this year. Link I thought he's done multiple races with Lampre, but he's not listed on the team's site, so it may only have been a temporary hire.
