Missed today, looking forward to Saturday on Lagunas. Always a must watch. Bisieux surely has good chances of winning overall? I see he has the Vuelta on his schedule as well.
It'll be interesting, not sure Bisiaux has ever done such a hard MTF against this sort of field but him and Ciccone looked the best on the climb today. I am sure Del Toro and Pellizzari will try to put him under pressure, 20 seconds (+ bonus) isn't a big gap.

It was Bisiaux who killed off Torres the stage before Finestre last year iirc, attacking before the Dutch and Blackmore came across, very good as a junior too. He's been helping others this year but still given the company he was in and the manner of victory I didn't expect his first win to happen like that.

Ciccone raced really excellent and he really put lots of pressure on everyone!! Great racing!! At about 20-21 to go Del Toro bridges across and Ciccone, says, not him again!! Bisiaux was on for last @25% of the race he looked really good!! Deserved the win!!
GC a bit shuffled but still top ten within a minute..

Ciccone has also just had a lot of bad luck in the GTs where he targeted a GC.

2021 Giro - crashes on stage 17 while sitting in 6th on GC, DNS the next day
2021 Vuelta - crashes and abandons on stage 16 while in 12th on GC (with quite a few people who took a bunch of time from breakaways and dropped away ahead of him)
No GC bids in 2022 or 2023
2024 Tour - 11th
2025 Giro - crashes on stage 14 while sitting in 7th on GC, DNS the next day

In his other 10 GTs, he is 7/10 for finishing the race, so it's hardly like DNFs are his usual.

We have a break of 4 with a collective age of 655 years up the road. Gap about 20s.
140km to go.
