that story makes one hell of an argument for radios not being banned. I don't really have an opinion on the subject as i can't really make up my mind but is it really worth to MAYBE get some better racing and at the same time risking stuff like this happening?

Excatly right. I actually think that story as put my stance in favour of race radios.

Guys... you know it's rather confusing when you abbreviate Chris Anker Sørensen to CAS.

I keep thinking of the Court of Arbitration for Sport

Also read that he will ride a so-called 'Silent GC'... trying to do well but not have the team work in earnest to defend anything.

Who will be the best rider of Rabo in this Vuelta? LL Sanchez, Kruijswijk, Mollema or maybe even Barredo? All of them should be able to ride top-10 (except Barredo probably, but in the Vuelta of last year with "weak participants", it would have been an option). Personally I hope Kruijswijk surprises with a top 6/7 classification.
LL Sanchez will lose 10 minutes on the Angliru alone, he'll have to gain some time from a breakaway (as usual). Kruijswijk and Mollema both should be capable of a top-10, the question is what their form is like. Actually I think Mollema could be a good rider for the Vuelta, he usually does well in Spain, and he likes the tranquilo style of the races there. Maybe he could sneak into the top-10.

Guys, Does anone believe that Denis Menchov has a chance of finishing on the podium, because in spite of his less-than-spectacular season thus far, he seems confident and upbeat? Denis is so low keyed that I have a hard time reading anything into his remarks, ever.

And how about Sastre? He seems to be on life support to me. Could he possibly be revived in time to redeem his season?

If these issues have already been discussed, gently inform me. I'll catch on to the system here in a minute.

I think he has a very good chance especially with the flat TT.

Leif Hoste has a tear in his meninges causing him to lose brain fluid. This causes his terrible headaches. They'll have to inject his blood in his spinal cord to fix it. And if that doesn't work an operation through the nose will have to do the job. Poor guy.

edit: woops should be in General News.

I think we should call him 'faces'. :D

cyclingfever's startlist differs hugely from the one on the Vuelta site. Does anyone know if it is the more up to date version?

Or at least the riders can have radio's and talk to the DS team car but the DS can't talk back.

Wiggins thinks he may as well give it a go, as opposed to wasting the form he went into the Tour with. Whether or not he still has that form even Wiggins won't know until the racing starts.

So Wiggins thinks he can win this then ?

Well, apparently there are as many people on this forum who think that he will, as those who think that either Scarponi or J-Rod will

How will Greg Van Avermaet do? There seems to be a few stages that suit him well..

Could do really well if he is ready and switched on. Points jersey if he rides the whole tour is possible as most will drop out.

i'm not sure most will drop out...

2 week gap now between the vuelta and the wc's

that´s right forgot about that - I guess if the sprinters get through the 1st two hard weeks may as well ride to the end.

that will be an interesting side line on who drops out who rides all the way.

I don't think Greg will drop out. He's not getting leadership at the WC anyway, so might as well make the best of your palmares at the Vuelta.
