i have a hard time recalling a sprint finish when every one was humiliated so much by their own ineptitude.

Bos was in Cavendish wheel right before the last 3 corners. Then he let himself boxed in, a gap appeared, and suddenly Goss and Cavendish had 4 bike lengths on the rest

What a crap finish. Congrats Cav, for... doing nothing but holding the wheel of your teammate.

I agree it's more entertaining to see them coming in a straightline from 1km, but they put a bend just before the finishline. You can't blame HTC for playing it very smart.

I've always been taught that if you have nothing nice to say, not to say anything at all.

However, I was never listening when I was taught that, so here's the traditional "what a waste of time. Stupid stage. Hope HTC go to hell".

HTC clearly read the road book a little more closely than the other teams today. I wonder if they have Zabel scouting finishes for Cav at the Vuelta like they did at the Tour?

Goss will get a stage in the last week, I'm sure of it but well done Cav for finishing it off again today.

Bos went top 15 :)

If you missed the stage, you can always tune in at the same time tomorrow for the replay?

I know not celebrating Cav's wins is flogging a dead horse, but it's ridiculously difficult to get excited when it's just so easy. I can't remember the last time Cav had a "close" win.

Certainly a crap stage. Just like every bunchsprint stage is with the exception of the last 3km. I kinda dislike HTC too, but I can't but admit they play it really smart when it comes down to winning bunchsprints. (Most of the time. They can't win every bunchsprint ofcourse)

Didn't watch the stage, but you guys made it sound like Goss won. Oh well, Cavendish had to win at some point. Can't blame what the guy is being paid to do.

The Youngest sounds like a kid or has a low mental age or something, sorry about this.

I actually thought Bos had a chance today for a top finish, i wasnt trying to poke fun at all.

I know you weren't.
I was just saying it's sh.t Bos didn't even have the chance to sprint yet because his placing is so awful.

Hushovd actually tried to help him today, but Bos lost Hushovd's wheel.

was it that a Sprint finish at all? not to diminish Cav's victory, but looked to me like the rest of the peloton/sprinters just gave up on contesting the stage when Cav & Co. were ahead of them....

I don't know about the rest of the world, but watching those guys throw water bottles into canyons for about an hour and a sprint that was exciting for all of 3 seconds was 10x more interesting than watching billiards or women's tennis.

Goss could easily have won - and should have, though he sat up for Cav.

Listening to the Interview with Mark, he was holding back to let Goss take the win (and to be fair he did deserve it!), though Goss was too much of a gent himself celebrating Cavs win early. Cav then had to sprint as the rest of the field was closing.

The points competition is going to be close. There are three finishes left where Cav and/or Farrar can take big points, but four mountain finishes and a time trial as well. It could come down to which day a break stays away and steals points.
