Meh, Nibali now nearly wins the vuelta, if he can just limit the damage again tomorrow it's over

There are some steep sections on covadonga and del mundo, but I suspect nibali is capable of limiting his damages enough to win the vuelta.

Tommy D. seems to have disappeared! He was just off the Nibali group and I have yet to see him cross the line. Maybe the camera missed him or maybe he has found yet another creative way to totally screw the pooch. My bet is he overcooked one of those wet corners near the end and is now lying in a pile on the side of the road.

Nibali made a serious effort chasing him, they gotta keep on trying tomorrow, good racing so far, I wish they could ride the Tour with these balls.

He came in when they switched to Roches group

Nah, he came in between the Nibali group and the Roche/Sastre/Shleck group.

I'll reserve judgement on everybody until tomorrow.
3 climbs, all over 10kms, all over 8% average.
No hiding in the Asturias queen stage.

I didn't think today's stage was very good. Aside from mosq. it was tour like.

Wtf is Eskimo Tom?
He was last man out of the Nibali bunch.
Velits eh? Who' da thunk it?

Bit of a zzzzzzzznoozefest.

Edit. Tom in ahead of Roche. Becoming a bit of a dark horse, since he can trial.

Like I said yesterday, Tommy D. hangs tough today and loses plenty on Cotobello/Bola del Mundo.

Well not many winners this stage (except Barredo and Nibali). A lot of losers though. Just like yesterday. Then again that's cycling. Only 1 can win and the other 198 lost.

Still 2 monsters of climbs to go so still plenty can happen.

Really tight for fourth place in the GC, between a whole bunch of riders: Velits, Tondo, Roche, Shleck, Danielson.

It seems unlikely that any can challenge for third however.

Mosq. is a pretty bad time trialist. But he should still game time in the mountains.

If they limit the damage until the ITT, some of them can still end on the podium. Maybe even second. Danielson on the podium of a GT?

Plaza gone missing. Bruseghin rode well considering the crash. Good job by Peraud and a little revival for Van Goolen (about time).

Edit: hit refresh and it looks like Caisse might not have anyone in the top 10 in Madrid..

Katusha now lead the team classification courtesy of Rodriguez, Gusev and Karpets and GCE's demise since the crash yesterday. Bruseghin didnt finish that far back all things considered.

I bet we won't see even single attack or acceleration in this Vuelta from Schleck. I can't believe he was serious saying that he will win the GC.

Tommy has always been a mediocre TTst.
