If you have the proper profile you're welcome to post it, the official site has not updated it.

It's not really critism toward the OP. More toward CN.com which is an important site for cycling so they should provide proper information. lavuelta.com shows the right profiles so I know where to find it.
It's not really a big problem anyways. Just something I think a 'big' site like CN.com should have right.

Enough whine :D

edit: Apparently OP has the right profile anyways. So it's still 17km to go after the top of the mountain. Big group finishing together. Probably without the big sprinters, but with the likes of Freire etc.

Very good temperature, and the sun is shines.

Markus Eichler has taken a solo flier early on. Poor Milram.

Eichler by 40 seconds from two chasers with the main pack 4.10 down. Estrada the highest place overall at 21 minutes down.

Judging by the profile on the infostradasports ticker and the one on the official site, they are cycling the 29km loop from Murcia in the reverse direction to the one previously published, and the organisers haven't been letting on - infostradasports only has 13km after the climb

It seems like that is the case, so the climb is a bit different. Not as steep, and a little bit of a flat bit before it kicks up to the top (rough guess is 2km at ~10%).

So what's with all the changes to the original course? I don't get it.

Any idea why Cofidis takes it serious? :D
No really, why is Cofidis chasing? I don't think they are racing for Moncoutie to grab mountainpoints on the top of that cat2 climb as it's more likely a better climber reaches the top of that climb.

p.s. steephill.tv has weird comment next to their pictures. A picture of a group sprinting for the finish on the same stage last year with the following comment.

This year's stage 6 has the same finish as last year's Stage 10. The short, steep cat 2 climb cresting 10km from the finish should once again produce a bunch sprint in Murcia won last year by Simon Gerrans.

English isn't my native language, but my understanding of a bunchsprint is atleast 50 riders?

Oh how I love the official translation:

Cofidis takes it seriously

Cofidis has been serious in the escapees persecution. the advantage is now 6-20.

Its currently talking about 'hay favor leaks' Think it means the current route favours breakaways.

maybe Cofidis have been told to chase as they missed the breakaway. Have they been in one yet?

Its debatable, I'd say anything from 40 riders up.

And the idea of escapees getting persecuted.. Cofidas have cruel riders..

Steephill has the loop reversed.

I checked the detailed course and posted before about it here:
http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showpost.php?p=326894&postcount=22

The approach from Murcia to the climb is identical to last year, the return to Murcia has 6 kms more than last year. The villages of Los Dolores, Las Tejeras and San José de la Montaña that are before the climb are on the Eastern side of the loop.

Fair hammering along, today.
Seems like Katusha fancy it, which is a bit of a surprise,
given the run in.
