When Eurosports coverage began at 11 I wasn't expecting 20 mins of rainy summit footage, jaunty guitar mixes and slo mo stage winners and losers :tearsofjoy:

e: ok apparently no coverage due to weather until 11.45 gmt :(

Airplanes relaying the TV signal are late because of weather conditions at the start of the stage

Sigh, getting up at 5AM to watch highlights and fog/clouds isn't optimal. I hear there will be pictures soon?

Fair play to UAE actually doing something as a team even if they can't do much meaningful (barring something absurd).

If Jumbo really don't like this break they can just drill this next climb and catch or shatter the breakaway.

Jumbo should let this break get 5 minutes ASAP.

Wrong Movistar riders in the break. The team classification is still in the balance and they can't get a single climber in there?

Movistar should be riding to make something happen for Mas, but you'd not at all be surprised to see them take up the place to protect Valverde's top 10 and the team classification at this point lol

---

Wonder if we'll see Ineos drill some descents and just try see if they can shake any JV guys in the conditions

I joke (a little) about the team classification. But those would be ideal riders to help in the valleys/rolling terrain if Mas is going to do something early.

Lotto has a view to a kill, cause Stan is hungry like Dewulf. A shame that the wild Duran Durango boy isn't in the group.

The best thing I can see happening for Mas today is a stage victory. This stage is to easy for big changes. If he is lucky, he can overtake Martin. But is a fourth place so much better than a fifth place, when you have been second before?
