It's the Bennett v Ackerman showdown we've been waiting for since last year's Giro.

Which means one of Cort or Valgren is actually going to win it.

Well don't have to worry about much (unless there are echelons) as I'm working while it's going on.

Between PN & TA, between Dauphiné & Suisse, there's usually always at least one potentially interesting stage per day.
Not today.
How about silly breakaway win and lazy Vuelta sprint trains? Maybe too early.

Weather forecast has wind from the West in the 20-30 km/h range. So there's a chance of cross winds in the last 80km.

Anyone but Ewan mugging Bennett in the last 100m please

I am happy to inform you that that will definitely not happen!

With all the courses on offer at the moment, who knows if someone has successfully completed Ewan's "Perfect symmetry: How to finish first on sprint stages and dead last, when there's any slightly difficult climb, while simultaneously destroying your teamates legs and patience in the process (includes special appearances by Bryan Coquard and Andrea Guardini)"?

Wow just checked the start list. I was full sure he was riding the Vuelta.

In fact are we sure there are any sprinters left alive in this race after the first 3 days. Have there been any sightings?

Guardini would have missed the time cut at Arrate. It'd be like Cipo's attempts at the Vuelta, only Guardini would have actually been trying.

Yes. Guardini could have been in front going into the climb, and he still wouldn't have made it in time, showing a glimpse of his 2012 Alpe di Pampeago level.

WTF? They speed up in the approach and slow down when they turn to have crosswinds. And they miss the feed zone in the process.
