I’m shocked there are only 6 jumbos in the lead group of 12. Does Remco think there are riders ahead of them? Did someone say the breakaways have been underwhelming in this vuelta?
The lead group is half jumbo although the other 6 are probably heavier (having actually consumed food). It’s 50-50 whether Jumbo will win the vuelta.

I can see the sense in pushing on because if they sit up & the wind is still blowing on the wide roads... echelons will happen again anyway.

Sometimes the best defence, is offense.
