Even though the final climb is not great for him, I think Kämna should be the favourite to take his usual week 1 GT stage win.

Still hope for some action among the GC riders.

Guys if you are bored of this transition stage in small veulta, there is 29km left on Bretagne plouay classic, good aggressive racing, already 1 masnada attack. It's fun

Trying to clean mud with a leaf blower..... It is genuinely high-time to cut this race off by at least a week. It's been a meme race for a long time, but this edition takes the cake.
Been the best GT action wise majority of the last 12 years though and 2 weeks ruins that

Waiting for the organizers to announce a change in the finish line.

Or, no change!

Either way, I can already feel the complaints coming (and the finish is legitimately stupid looking, I am very interested to see how it actually pans out)

Organizers said they wil ltake time at 2.5 km to go unfortunately, so no GC action today.

I know that they will have thought, hey it's early September in Spain, so it'll be okay, realistically weather is a thing that happens and contingency plans need to be in place for.

And not just the Mauro Vegni "cancel everything, remove everything in case the weather is bad" contingency plan that he's used to deny us the likes of Fedaia and Croix de Cœur in recent years on the basis of bad weather elsewhere on the stage when those passes were in fact completely ridable.
